New Media Usage Leads to Traditional Media Coverage
Earlier this week, a friend of mine and state representative for the Springfield/Willard area told me about how a simple message broadcast on Twitter was able to get him an interview on the news that evening. Rep. Shane Schoeller had been pondering a controversial report recently released here in MO and political reporter Dave Catanese was looking to run a story on the report.
Here’s what Shane tweeted:
The main (thing) I will be considering is how to hold the HWY Patrol accountable for the MIAC report. The language was too broad & labeled
